Change begins with each of us. One person can change the heart of a country—and the world. That is the story of Dr. King, Gandhi, and Nelson Mandela. It happened in America, in India, and in South Africa. A movement occurred. There was a shift in the consciousness of a people. At this moment a shift—a transformation—is needed in our country, but it has to start within each of us. Changes are occurring each and every day. DNA is now being used to free innocent prisoners from the death penalty. It’s hard to imagine a country in the industrialized world where an innocent person can be wrongly sentenced and put to death. The Internet now makes it possible to connect to someone across the world in an instant. We are more connected than ever, and the opportunities to help have never been greater. However, we see things differently based on whether we are looking at them through the Spirit or from our limited five senses, which are associated with our egos. The ego can quickly reduce a world of opportunities to a mere story on the evening news. Never lose sight of the bigger picture and the new awareness emerging inside of you.
